جمل الشرط و unless (Conditional Sentences)
جملة الشرط ثلاثة أنواع: الأول (if + مضارع، will + فعل) للممكن، والثاني (if + ماضٍ، would + فعل) لغير المرجح، والثالث (if + had + V3، would have + V3) لما لم يحدث في الماضي؛ و unless تعني if ... not وتأتي بعدها الجملة مثبتة.

كل نوع شرط له زوج أزمنة ثابت.
الفكرة
- 1Type 1: If strict measures are taken, the system will improve.
- 2Type 3: If they hadn't given importance to soldiers, they wouldn't have made a strong army.
- 3unless = if ... not: If measures are not taken > Unless measures are taken (نحذف not).
- 4لا يأتي will ولا would بعد if أو unless.
مثال محلول
Rewrite: If strict measures are not taken, the educational system will deteriorate. > Unless ...
- unless تحمل النفي بنفسها، فنحذف not من جملة الشرط.
- زمن جملة الشرط يبقى المضارع are taken.
- جواب الشرط لا يتغير: will deteriorate.
النتيجة Unless strict measures are taken, the educational system will deteriorate.
انتبه
- إبقاء النفي بعد unless (Unless strict measures are not taken): نفي مزدوج يعكس المعنى.
- Type 3 بـ would not make بدل would not have made.
